Lucy Chinen is a Chicago-based artist and graduating student from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has worked as a designer, builder and or performer on several independent and collaborative puppet theater performances as well as with Redmoon Theatre and Blair Thomas & Co. She is currently working on a series of mask and object based performances exploring the mystical qualities of women in folklore, spirituality and motherhood. She doesn’t like sweets or chocolate but she does enjoy the occasional jar of pickles.
